This isnt a specific problem but a question in general. When is it appropriate to use double integrals in solving for the centroid of an object, for example the centroid of a triangle. Our professor showed us an example using an area bounded by y=cx^n and used double integrals, however in our book it never mentions it. If someone could explain it to me that would be great.
