There are certain requirements that one must meet to live in Grace and in returne they have access to shelter, food, restrooms, showers and utilities. As a result of the requirements, several people were denied access to Grace and created their own community outside of the gates of Grace later termed Dignity Village. Over the years there has been an increase in drug usage, assaults and deaths in Dignity Village. Recently, the City of Gainesville has determined they need to shut Grace down and has agreed to allow some of the people from Dignity Village to move into Grace in an assigned area.
