Assessment - Industry research report and Consultation Plan
Student will:
• Assume the role of an event organiser for a local events organisation.
• Create/identify a client and an event that will be held in an local outdoor location.
• Identify a suitable local outdoor location to hold the event.
• Assume that the event details and location have been accepted by the client.
Note: The event must include hospitality elements including food and/or beverage services/facilities.
• Provide a brief description of the client, the event and the location including all the services and facilities that will be required including any staffing requirements.
• Research and consider the critical importance to the organisation and stakeholders of a legally compliant WHS&S plan for this event with specific reference to the relevant legislation.
• Identify and discuss potential risks and hazards (natural and man made) that may have an impact on WHS&S before, during and after this event.
• Discuss effective management of potential WHS&S risks and hazards before, during and after this event.
• Discuss the consequences of noncompliance for the organisation and stake holders with reference to this event.
• Explain the steps you would take to ensure effective communication and consultation with all stakeholders involving WHS&S for this event.
In your discussion consider the following:
• Relevant health, safety and security legislation
• Regulations and policies
• Health, safety and security systems
and:
• Knowledge and its application
• Communication process and skills
• Teamwork
• Self-management
• Critical thinking

1. Introduction
The purpose of the Introduction is to place the report into context. Therefore, clearly note the purpose of the report and provide a brief background of the selected business.

This section will include your responses to the points as noted above. Please ensure that these sections are appropriately labelled and numbered as 2.1, 2.2. 2.3 and so on.
3. Conclusion & Recommendations
There must not be any new content within conclusion. Provide concluding statements of your findings and recommendations where applicable.
