Water is drawn at steady state from a body up 15 m to a storage tank by a pump. Pressure at the opening of the pump is 1 bar and the water is delivered at 3 bar. Temperature is nearly constant at 15 C throughout the process. The water flows at a rate of 1.5 kg/s. There is no significant change in kinetic energy and no heat is transfered during the process. Determine the power required by the pump, in kW. Let g = 9.81 m/s^2.
