1. There are two coin purses. The first coin purse contains a penny (P) and a nickel (N). The second coin purse contains a dime (D) and a quarter (Q).

A coin is chosen at random from each purse, and the outcome is recorded.

(For instance, the outcome NQ means Nickel from the first purse and Quarter from the second purse.)
