Ms. Peterson is a 24-year-old WF who presents for a therapy session. A therapeutic relationship is maintained, and the client is encouraged to express her thoughts and feelings. She reports she is working as a behavioral therapist for children.Client reports she has made up her mind on moving to her own apartment and separate from her mom. She reports her mom has been her abuser and she covered for her brother who rwped her at 10 years. She says she has forgiven her mother but does not want a relationship with her. She thinks she is a narcist. Today, we discussed the grounding technique 54321. We also practiced proper deep breathing exercises. She was encouraged to utilize learned coping skills, and she verbalized understanding. The client agreed to formulate and present five goals during our next therapy session. Client is making progress. Follow up on 5/20/24.
