Context:
Beginning your career in the tourism, hospitality & events industries can be a daunting process as you may have an ideal role in mind but be unsure about how to get there. A professional development plan is a tool that enables you to identify the steps and actions required to progress through your career journey towards your ultimate career objective. In addition, this plan helps you to identify your existing skills and knowledge, as well as learning & development activities to acquire new skills and knowledge that will help you advance your career. Completing a self-evaluation tool such as Clifton Strengths Finder Assessment (also known as Gallup Strengths) can help you to gain a greater understanding of your individual strengths and how to use these strengths to expedite your career aspirations.
