"A Day in the Life" Project
Objective:
The purpose of this project is to give you exposure to the world of entrepreneurship and to learn first hand through observation and engagement what it entails to be an entrepreneur. This experience will open your eyes to all the opportunities, challenges, obligations and rewards of an entrepreneurial lifestyle.
Requirements:
Select one entrepreneur to shadow and work with throughout the term. They may be in the start-up phase of their business or a bit more established, but choose someone who is the company founder and launched a business w/in the last 10 years.
Spend time with (shadow) your entrepreneur for a total of 12 hours. It is up to you and your business partner to determine how you want to manage your time.
Your selected entrepreneur must be briefed on the requirements/obligations of the assignment and sign an Agreement pertaining to their participation. They will also be asked to provide feedback at the end of the project.
This assignment MAY NOT be done virtually. The 12 hours must be done in person alongside your selected entrepreneur.
On each occasion that you spend time with your selected entrepreneur, you must complete an Activity Report (a template will be provided) pertaining to your experience (what you did/observed/contributed, etc.) and it must be signed and dated by the entrepreneur.
Deliverable:
A 4-5 page report summarizing your experience. Double-spaced, 1" margins, 12-pt. type.
