Survey the banks, savings and loans, and credit unions and put together a list of interest rates paid on the various types of checking accounts. Find out what, if any, restrictions are in effect for NOW accounts and regular checking accounts. In which type of account and in what institution would you deposit your money? Why? Limit your research to five institutions and please include one savings bank, one commercial bank, and one credit union among them.
