Air flows in a round pipe at a rate of 0.015 lbm/sec. The air enters the pipe at a temperature 76.8 oF and a pressure 727.4 torr. The inner diameter of the pipe is 1.2 inches.

Between the inlet and an axial location of 2 feet, the air is heated uniformly at a rate of 891.9 Btu/hr-ft2. Determine the temperature of the pipe wall at the 2-foot location. Use the following properties in your calculations:

m = .04723 lbm/ft-hr

n = 0.690 ft2/hr

K = 0.016 Btu/hr-oF

Pr = 0.709

Between x = 2 feet and x = 4 feet, the wall temperature is uniform. The value of the uniform wall temperature is equal to that calculated at x = 2 feet. At a location x = 4 feet, determine the heat transfer coefficient, the bulk temperature, and the heat flux.
