The threat of new entrants within an industry will always be challenging. Being in business since 1903, Smithfield Furniture has a competitive advantage based on customer loyalty, a tenured base of experience, and the large investments, i.e. recently modernized latest equipment. Smithfield Furniture have stores throughout the 50 states, England, France and Germany, and must adhere to the policies and procedures within each country.
