Consider a 1-cm-diameter and 0.3-m-long copper rod (kcopper= 400 W/m-K) with its ends fixed to two parallel surfaces. The temperature of the parallel surfaces at the both ends of the rod is 34 oC. An air flow at 24 oC is crossing over the rod at 1 m/s. Determine the temperature of the rod at 0.12 m from the fixed surface.
