An ideal gas flows through a device at steady state. The temperature of the gas at the inlet is 20C and its velocity increases from 5 m/s to 300 m/s without any heat transfer or work interactions. The specific heat of the gas follows the relationship given as: Cp = 1 + 0.01 T, where Cp is in kJ/kg-K and T is in K.

(a) Calculate change in enthalpy (kJ/kg) of the gas.

(b) Determine temperature (C) of the gas at the exit.
