The Social Innovation / Social Entrepreneurship.
You will focus on an innovative Canadian company that has built a business model that also promotes social good.
The goal is to discuss a good example of what Michael Porter calls shared purpose. Sustainability-focused innovations are typically the case.
However, you are free to research other types of innovative solutions with a positive social impact.
Note, this is not about charities, and it is neither about corporate social responsibility. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS You are expected to include:
1. Introduction, providing contextual background about the company.
2. Clear description of the need the product, service, or technology addresses.
3. The product's features and benefits (add imagery, if applicable).
4. Challenges for scaling-up development to solve similar needs elsewhere.
5. A conclusion focusing on social entrepreneurship projects and their potential to be a game-changer.
