Change-Readiness Assessment – The Seven Traits of Change-Readiness

My score in Resourcefulness is 26. Which states that resource people are effective at taking the most of any situation and utilizing whatever resources are available to develop plans and contingencies. I believe this to be accurate because of growing up I have always helped people and try to help them solve situations. In my professional life, I’m not a person to jump to conclusions, I like to think about situations and try to find a sensible solution. I have always helped in solving situations not only in my department and have volunteered to help in others when there seemed to be no other alternatives. Optimism score was 23, I agree with this score because life today can be unpredictable, demanding and full of pressures which certainly play a big role in our ability to look at things from either a positive or negative view. I believe that everything happens for a reason and I always try to look for the best in situations. Sometimes the outcomes do not make sense until later down the road.

Confidence – scored at 23, I have a lot of confident in myself and have tried to teach this to my son. I must say that it’s a good feeling that my husband has a lot of confidence in me. I believe having self-confidence enables a person to take risks, to challenge themselves and move on to new achievements: it provides the belief that if things go wrong, they can work to make it right and, that you have enough resources to deal with the unexpected and unknown aspects of the situation.

Adventurousness – my score was 22, I agree, I’m not a risk taker, I like to think things through and think of the consequences before moving ahead.

Tolerance for Ambiguity - scored 22, I am able to handle ambiguity well in situations and with rare exceptions I will eventually find ways through the ambiguous situations. My family always said that I have a lot of patience dealing with people and they don’t know how I do it. I like to listen to get all the facts before voicing my opinion. I am always telling my son that it’s not always important to have the last say. “Think before you speak”.

Passion/Drive – my score was 26 in this area, because I am always trying to find different ways to solve problems, or to work through implementing a new program. Things that I am passionate about I like to show that I am taking passionate. When I start something, I like to finish, this is in professional and personal life. I like to do a good job. When I was a teenager my father and mother use to say When you have to do something you should do it the right way the first time. If I had to go back and do it again it would be consequences.

How might the high areas help this person in their future career path?
