Providing high quality customer service is the hallmark of the Ritz-Carlton. In order to ensure that each new employee learns how to provide "the finest personal service," the Ritz-Carlton relies on vicarious learning. Clearly vicarious learning has paid off handsomely for the Ritz-Carlton as evidenced by its receipt of prestigious awards such as the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award.
