(1) Read the August 14, 2022  article titled "The Rise of Worker Productivity Score" from the New York Times I assigned in the module materials.

(2) Pick a workplace you are familiar with. It can be a company where you currently work or have worked at in the past or a place you know well enough. Alternately, it can be a retail establishment like a big-box store or a restaurant that you have been to frequently enough to recall it. Identify three ways in which management exercises control over the workers in this setting. If you picked your own workplace, you can talk about the ways in which your bosses control you (or have controlled you in the past) or the ways in which you control (or have controlled) your subordinates. Try to include at least one non-obvious way in which control is exercised (for example, through informal expectations or as a result of the culture at work).

(3) What are the driving forces behind the trend of increasing surveillance in the workplace? Should there be any public policy response to this trend?

You should take a look at some of current technologies of supervision. You can find them by typing "remote monitoring tools" in a search engine.
