Question- Multiply the mass of iron (II) in the cereal by (v1/10 mL). The result is the amount of iron (II) in the original cereal sample (Show the calculation below). When the cereal was cooked in HCL all of the elemental iron present was converted to iron (II) ions, so there is a 1:1 relationship between the moles of iron (II) and the elemental iron. Therefore, the mass of iron (II) is the same as the mass of the elemental iron in the original sample.
