A technology company provided technical expertise to corporations for an umber of years on a service only basis. the company would normally examine a corporations operations then recommend the equipment that they should use. once the equipment was purchased by the corporation, the technology company would install and maintain the equipment on a service contract basis.
The technology company was recently approached by the manufacturer of the equipment that the company would use normally recommend that their clients purchase and offered the opportunity to purchase the manufacturers line of products for resale on a very profitable basis.
The technology company has decided to consider the sale of equipment as well as their services but is unfamiliar with the buying and selling of goods. the company executives arranged to meet with their lawyer for advice on the laws pertaining to the purchase and sale of goods.
On the basis od the information in this chapter, what advice might their lawyer give them?
