In the previous pages of this module, we looked at the political culture and political ideologies. Based on those topics, please answer the following questions and make sure to respond to your peer's responses:

1. Political culture refers to the things or values that are most important in our society. Another way of thinking about this is that political culture refers to the things that make the US what it is. To respond to this first question, please describe what you think of when you hear the words "American" or "America." What do YOU think it means to be "American?" Also, what do YOU think are things that are valued the most in the United States. Please discuss 2 or 3 things that come to mind the most and be sure to explainyour answers

2. We examined 4 major political ideologies. Please choose two of these and discuss what you think are some of the pros and cons of each of them. Also, democratic socialism seems to be growing in popularity, with presidential candidates like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren representing the ideas of democratic socialism. Why do you think democratic socialism might be so popular right now?
