If we have an electron orbiting an atomic nucleus. We may think the electron is doing a circular motion around the nucleous at constant speed.
A) Determine the electron's speed if the nucleous has an efective charge of 1e (Li) and the radious of the circular motion is 2.116×10-10 m. (This part is Newton's second law).
B) With the speed and radious of the circunference it is possible to determine the period of this motion. (Time for the electron to complete a turn.) The motion of the electron can be seen as a circular current and so we can compute the magnetic moment (dipole) of the electron. If we define the current as e/T, where T is the period. Determine the magnetic moment (dipole) of the electron.
C) Now the problem is similar to a current in a ring, and this current generates a magnetic field. What is the magnetic field seen by the nucleous?
