Steam enters a nozzle operating at steady state at 20 bar, 280oC, with a velocity of 80 m/s. The exit pressure and temperature are 7 bar and 180oC. The mass flow rate at the inlet is measured and is 1.4 kg/s. Neglect heat transfer and potential energy changes. Find: a) the mass flow rate at the exit (kg/s), b) the exit velocity (m/s) and c) the exit flow area (cm2).
