JOURNAL ARTICLE REVIEW INSTRUCTIONS
During this course, you will complete a Journal Article review. The content of the article must focus on educating students with intellectual disabilities. Be careful not to focus on other special education disabilities.
For the article review, you will select a full-text, scholarly journal article from the Jerry Falwell Library data base, published in the last 5 years.
Once you locate an article, read it through at least once. It make take multiple readings to obtain a full understanding.
Use a professional writing style. The paper needs to be double spaced and written in Times New Roman, 12 pt font. It should follow the format described below.
1. Write the article citation at the top of the review in APA format.
2. Write a one page summary of the article. Include the purpose, how any research was conducted, the results and any other pertinent information.
3. Write a one page reflection critiquing the article by discussing the implications of the results of the study, or the information presented.
This should include how the author could expand on the results, what the information means in the big picture and what the focus should be for future related research.Express your opinion of the article and research findings.
4. Be sure to cite any direct quotes or paraphrases from the article using APA format.
