Problem- During the manufacture of nylon, adipic acid (HOOC(CH2)4COOH, a diprotic weak acid) is polymerized by combining it with 1,6-diaminohexane (H2N(CH2)6NH2, a diprotic weak base). A polymer chemist studying this reaction wishes to analyze a sample thought to contain 0.1000 M adipic acid by titrating it with 0.1000 M NaOH. Estimate the pH of the original sample, at both equivalence points, at the half-way point to the first equivalence, and at the half-way point between the first and second equivalence.
