Question

The federal government implemented a prevention initiative with an agenda to build a healthier nation. This initiative looks at specific characteristics like health care disparities, social determinants of health, utilizes and analyzes data to make any policy changes, and incorporates stakeholders who are involved in promoting health. The reason I believe Healthy People 2020 is a good idea and can be effective is the fact that it is very open to any specific characteristic related to location, and demographic, that will require efforts to be adjusted in order to be effective. The entirety of Healthy People 2020 provides an effective initial template for health care workers to use. The best attribute about this initiative in my opinion is the data-drive approaches that it utilizes. Listening to the feedback of local community members by the appropriate representatives who will advocate on their behalf will lead to accurate approaches that are required.
