A floor slab has a fundamental bending frequency of 10Hz. A shaker is placed at the centre of the slab for a dynamic testing. The tests confirm that the slab displays a damping ratio of 2% of critical.

Detennine (1) the required shaker frequency to cause "resonance" and (2) the dynamic magnification of response compared with static response for that level of damping.
