Question: The suspect committed aggravated robbery (using a gun) at the customer service booth in a large convenience store, that totaled $2000. While exiting the establishment, the loss prevention store employee attempted to stop the suspect from leaving. At that point the suspect hit the employee in the face with the gun, causing a deep laceration to the cheek.

The employee would later have to receive six stitches on the cheek, but otherwise recovered. After exiting the store, the suspect hot-wired a car that was parked in the lot, and departed the scene without any other incident. Within three hours the suspect was caught, due to the video surveillance camera that was able to ascertain the suspect's identity. The prosecution charges are aggravated robbery, aggravated assault w/ a deadly weapon, and auto theft. The defendant is willing to plea bargain, but hasn't decided which options are best.

Additionally, the defendant has previously been convicted for several misdemeanors and felonies in the past 15 years. The defendant is asking for your assistance in the decision.
