Question- The higher the concentration acid and conjugate base in a buffer, the smaller the pH change when acid or base is added. Determine whether the above statement is true or false by performing the following calculations:

a) compute the pH change in the following two buffers when 1 g of KOH is added:

ka = 5.71 x 10^-10

1) 500ml of a 0.10m nh4cl and 0.10m nh3 buffer

2) And when it is added to 500ml of a 1.00m NH4Cl and 1.00m NH3 buffer.

In which buffer does the largest pH change occur? Does concentration of the buffer solution effect it's buffering capacity?
