The computer chips in notebook and laptop computers are produced from semiconductor wafers. Certain semiconductor waiters are exposed to the environment that generates up to 100 possible defects per waiter. The number of defects per waiter, Y, was found to follow a binomial distribution if the manufacturing process is stable and generates defects that are randomly distributed on the waifers. Let p represent the probability that a defect occurs at any of the 100 points of the waiter. If you assume that the number of defects per wafer produced from Company X follows B(n=100, p=0.08), what is P(X>50)?
