For the high school outreach project that I direct, I would like to know if we are having any impact on the high school student's perceptions of engineering. We administer a pre-survey and a post-survey to students and they rate their likelihood of choosing a major in an engineering field both before and after the outreach. Suppose that in one demographic group 15 students said that they were likey to go into engineering in both the pre and post survey, 6 students said they were likely to in the pre-survey but not in the post-survey, 19 said they were not likely to go in the pre-survey but were likely in the post-survey and 34 said they where not likely in the pre and post survey. Test the claim that our outreach had an impact on the percentage of students saying they were likely to o into engineering , at a significant level of 0.05.
