When you choose to use software or technology such as Google, most licenses and terms of service give the technology service provider broad rights relative to the use of the data.

Tying that back into the subject of this class, as you all demonstrated, most of the ERP, CRM, and SCM applications were SAAS (Software as a Service), meaning that all of the data associated with those systems are stored in the cloud. If you examine the Terms, most providers are not as liberal as Google is, but there are still opportunities within those agreements for use of the data.
