Task Summary

Create an online blog of either one post or a series of posts focusing on educational challenges and how technologies offer solutions. Please refer to the Task Instructions for details on how to complete this task.

Context
Technology within the educational context is conducive to 21st Century learning. In contrast to the previous assessment tasks this final assignment offers an opportunity to focus on any one specific issue related to your educational context, or one wider endemic issue facing education, perhaps in Australia and/or internationally. Explore the potential use of emerging technologies and their hypothetical impact as solutions in the context of your selected issue.

Task Instructions

To complete this assessment task, you must:

- Continue your online blog begun in Assessment #2
- Identify one educational issue that is present within your own context or something that remains poorly addressed in many other communities.
- Write a blog post or series of posts, that identifies and critiques a range of possible technology solutions that might address your selected issue. These technologies may be emerging or already embedded within educational settings. You might refer to technology that is consumer or education specific; either way your choice should be appropriate to the selected issue.
- Connect your discussion to a broad range of sources from within the subject content and modules completed to date, including scholarly and non-scholarly resources.

Your submission should be approximately 2000 words in total. As you critique certain educational technologies you will clearly share the broader concepts or themes they connect to. Your work should make explicit reference to resources consulted including the tasks and activities undertaken across Module 1 to 6 of this subject.

There is no specific requirement for you to follow a particular structure in the format of your blog posts. For example, you might create a series of posts to explore different technological solutions to the same issue. However, please write in the first person throughout, and ensure that you are reading widely and incorporating relevant scholarly and professional literature to support and extend your discussion.
