US spending on Science, Space, and Technology versus Suicides by hanging, strangulation and suffocation.

For the first one, US spendings, there is an intention to show a trend line of the investment. The three categories (Science, Space, and Technology) are somehow integrated, and is the unified visualization is valid, although it is not the best one.

On the other hand, the second chart had three different categories of situations shown together, which is not a valid combination. The suicide that could have a wide variety of reasons can not be merged with a crime (strangulation), neither with suffocation that could be a crime, accident, or suicide and shall not be combined for a trend.

Pros:

- The first scenario has a clear trend line.

Cons:

- Colors and style are not appropriated;

- Axis with decimal points and out of scale;

- For the second chart, the wrong chart type, and confused message.
