Technology in Contemporary Society

1- Research the problem of Internet Addiction. Cite the references you find in your main post to this discussion. Have you found that this is a real disorder (in psychological terms)? If so, what are its symptoms? Do you know anyone that you would consider to be addicted to the computer or any other use of technology? If so, describe the person's behaviors that lead you to think so.

2- Currently, there are no concrete solutions to the problem of the dispersal of information about the behavior of individuals on the Internet. Rumors, gossip, and shaming are an example of such dispersal of information. What could or should the Internet community do to prevent the lives of people from being ruined by disproportionate spread of rumors and so on? Should governments become involved? If so, how? If not, why not
