ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS

1. Topic
Pick one of the topics from the list provided (see below)

2. Templates and Themes
Use the preset design theme Black and White (Classic), the blue colour scheme, and Trebuchet MS font

3. Length
Write a 3-4 page (double-spaced) research paper on the chosen topicexcluding the title and reference pages

4. Title Page
o Include a title page which contains the following information:
o Title of Research Paper
o Your Name (First and Last)
o Course Name
o Instructor's Name (First and Last)
o Date of Submission

5. Header, Footer, and Layout
You must include a header at the top of every page except for the title page (use Heading 2 style). The header must include the name of your paper. If the title of your research paper is lengthy, you may choose to shorten it so it can fit into the header space.
You must also include a footer at the bottom of every page except for the title page. The footer must include your name and the date of submission.

6. Introduction
Write an introduction explaining the importance of your topic to the reader. Provide some context for the reader to understand the significance of learning about and discussing the issue at hand. In this section, you will clearly state your topic and declare what you plan to say about it in your paper.

7. Body of Paper
The content of your paper must be organized into suitable paragraphs and these must be left-aligned. You must use headings and, if necessary, subheadings to organize your content paragraphs. You must also include in-text citation for any information you have gathered from outside sources. You may use the References tab in Word to create these citations (see instructions 8 and 10).
Additionally, you must include at least two of the following:
• Insert one bar or pie chart
• Insert one table using Plain Table 3
• Insert one online video
• Include at least one Numbered list

8. Research
Reference two research sources in your paper. These must be sourced from credible publications and properly cited using APA format. opens in new window

9. Conclusion
As a final wrap up to your research paper, you will summarize your findings and resolve any proposals or assertions you have made. Your conclusion should not be more than one paragraph

10. References
Include a Reference page, a bibliographic list of the sources you used to gather information for this research assignment. Your list must be correctly formatted according to APA formatting guidelines (see instruction 5). The list must be alphabetized and contain all the sources cited in your paper. You may use the References tab in Word to create this page.

11. Page Numbers
Add page numbers. Page numbers must be located in the header at the top right of each page except for the title page.

12. Editing
Run Spelling and Grammar Check

13. Submission
Name the file "FirstNameLastName - StudentID - CourseCode"
Submit your Word Assignment to your instructor on the assigned due date. Make sure the research paper is double-spaced and each section is clearly titled.
