You are required to access the simulated business of 'Bayside Call Centre.' Your role will be that of a newly appointed Human Resources Manager.
You have attended the first management meeting and have been advised of a lawsuit the company is facing with regards to unlawful discrimination. The compliant has been filed by an ex-employee and the manager in question no longer works for Bayside Call Centre. The legal team is responsible for handling the situation. However, you are required to ensure that Bayside Call Centre polices include and support diversity and that there is no discrimination in the workplace. There is an existing Bayside Call Centre 'Diversity Policy', that you must refer to.
When you took over the duties recently, you were given a few employee complaints that have not been addressed. These complaints are listed below:
Part B: Team Meeting & Idea Facilitation
Assuming the management has given you an approval to start the change process. You must prepare a brief about the proposed changes in the diversity policy and present it to the managers (Role played by fellow class mates). During this meeting you are required to enable the team members to bring in their ideas about the required diversity related workplace practices & activities. This session must involve the use of one of the ideation techniques, for eg. Brainstorming or 6-3-5 method etc. You must gather all feedback and suggestions to be used in the next task.
You are to use PowerPoint slides or any other resource to present your recommended Diversity policy & procedure changes and submit this along with your assessment answers. The trainer/assessor will be observing this meeting interaction.
