Sometimes medical personnel are faced with the task of comforting children in the midst of whatever is going on.

Your task is to tell a child a story that involves numbers. Your start by writing down 2 of the following numbers:  a percentage, a fraction or a decimal number.

Then you begin to tell a story showing how those numbers are used.  For example, if I picked 6%, I would share how I have to pay a 6% tax on everything that I buy.

So, share your story with us.  It should include:

• The 2 numbers that you wrote down from the list: percentages, fractions, decimal numbers.
• Give a realistic scenario that involves each number.
• Give a specific example of each type of number (e.g. 2, 3/4, -5, etc).
• Give a calculation involving the numbers (e.g. 2 + 3/4 = 11/4).
