1. I stated that an organization can survive without a talent management and development program. Do you agree? Is talent management and development just "icing on the cake" or a critical part of successful business?
2. The text discusses making talent vs. buying talent. I believe an organization should do both. Probably 80% make and 20% buy. Do you agree or what percentage would you put on make/buy and why?
3. The text and I spoke of Succession Planning and obviously I'm a believer. But that's for organizations. I also believe in individual succession and career planning. Where are you going next and when. If you have one and want to share feel free. Your ideas may help others. If you don't, should you, or am I making this way too complicated?
4. Finally thank all of you for the feedback. It was really helpful. I needed to know if the lectures and videos were helpful and how you are using them. And, overall, you seem to find value in them. It takes about 8 hours for me to put each video together so I needed to know that it was time well spent. I will continue with them and do my best to make them better. Some of you use the written lectures more than the videos due to your lifestyles. That's fine and exactly why I use both written and video lectures. Most of you also seem to get value from this discussion forum. Your participation and input has been great in terms of expanding on the topics and providing learning opportunities for everyone.
