There are three main areas that help a company to grow and be competitive and they are people, systems and organizational procedures. Of these three, I'm going to deal with people. According to Robert Kaplan and David Norton(1996) the company must first of all they must do what ever possible to make sure there is satisfaction with the employees and when there is satisfaction that will lead to employee retention which is great and properly training the employees leads to good employee skills and that will lead to company growth. There is this one company that I know , in which their orientation is one week long and every week it consist of 30 to 35 new hires. That tells me that that many is going out the door. There is something wrong, Maybe it is that that the company care only about getting the work done but with that kind of turn over there can not be many there that is skill at the job.

Could you propose a metric that could be used to quantify the statement above.
