A factory has equipment arranged as shown in the Figure 2. Manufactured fittings must be processed through each of the three operations in sequence, but it does not matter which lather or mill is used. Each lathe is capable of handling 30 fittings per hour, each mill can handle 45 per hour, and the grinder can handle 80 per hour. A different operator runs each group of machines, and due to the workload, the lathe operator can handle an output of 25 fittings per hour from each lathe when they are all operating. The mill and grinder operators can produce 45 per hour (per mill) and 80 per hour (per grinder), respectively. During the past 40-hour week, actual production from this department was 1,000 fittings. Find:

a) The system capacity

b) The system efficiency (i. e. capacity utilization rate)?
