Using the "Code of Ethics" as defined by the League of Professional Systems Administrators, write an essay using, a personal experience, historical reference, or recent event and discuss how one or more of the code(s) was violated. Explain why you think the code was broken and what should have been the correct course of action. A couple examples to reference are Edward Snowden and Terry Childs. Do not write your essay using the examples.

Research: When using resources for the essay, think about the field you are entering as a systems administrator, and the type of resources you will use. Requests for Comments (or RFCs), articles from standards organizations, whitepapers, and vendor documentation, professional publications are the kinds of materials that you will be relying on when writing procedures, policies and reports for your job.

Research for this assignment (although minimal) is no different; I expect that you will use "credible" resources for your essay. For example, if you are writing about a personal experience, use the policy documentation from your company. More importantly, when trying to prove a point or make a convincing argument, using a "credible" resource to support your position can go a long way. If you need help with research or have questions about what constitutes a "credible" resource, do not hesitate to ask.
