SWOT Analysis of Thai Digital Currency regarding to Generation Z perspective in Chonburi

Abstract

The research paper is an essential part of college education of Burapha University International college.This research paper is about The influential factors for transition into Thai Baht digital (THB) . The objective of this study is to study the decision to use Thai digital baht for users in Chonburi, to study the characteristics of using Thai digital currency of users in Chonburi and the factors that cause the use of Thai digital currency of Generation Z in Chonburi.

The sample group used in this research Including travelers and Bangsaen locals in Chonburi area using Focus group and individual interview as a tool used to collect data consisting of a series of questions for the purpose of gathering information from respondents, to be used to analyze the causes and factors in SWOT analysis

Introduction 

As we know cryptocurrency market has evolved erratically and at unprecedented speed, more than 1,500 cryptocurrencies have emerged by April 2018, Cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin are often referred to as Altcoin, or alternative coins, by that as we live in Thailand we thought that nothing else was more interesting than make a study cryptocurrency in Thailand. The nature of how payments are made is ever- changing. For many Thais, faster and more efficient payments have become a way of life. From transferring money to friends via PromptPay1, to donating money to charities via e- Donation services, to scanning QR codes at street vendors to purchase lunch, Thais are making strides towards a digital economy. When you see how Cryptocurrency is developing, coming back to Thailand, developing economies may be able to enter the Financial market for the first time if digital currencies become mainstream, for that it brings huge opportunity for Thailand. 

Also new technologies are driving new business strategies which is in the perfect time for Thailand, this led changes and can influence Thai financial markets and, consequently, digital currencies. Due to its openness and decentralized nature, Thai digital currency can quickly be adopted by private developers and established institutions alike, creating an exponential rise in many other digital currencies with various functionalities.
