The top three reasons for there not being a business case for sustainability in my developing country of Sudan are for one, the fact that the country is currently not a member of the WTO. This limits access to other countries that can be potential trade partners and the resources that come with having them as such. Second, there are limited resources locally when it comes to having to monitor clean energy practices in the region. The fact that there are limited policies in place makes it even harder to find a local vendor to task with it (N.a., 2015). Thirdly, Sudan has always been an unstable region with ties to terrorism that have prevented it from building healthy relationships and growing economically.
Peru is my developed country that I thought would be a great developed country to expand into however, construction permits and registering property in the early stages can be a bit challenging. The country is ranked low by the World Bank as far as the ease of dealing with permits. The procedure itself takes over 188 days to complete. Second, making relationships with local government can make or break a business as the tax authorities there are detailed and have the power to stop operations at any time for minor discrepancies. Thirdly, paying taxes on your business and employees is nearly unfair. Peru requires 9 payments a year and the corporate tax rate is 29%!
