A 72-year-old male with suspected mild neurocognitive impairment and insomnia has been taking eszopiclone 3 mg by mouth nightly for 10 years. The patient was brought in by his daughter. She had seen him sleepwalk and have restless sleep. She is not sure if his memory issues are due to his medications, sleep, or him "just being spacey." The patient does not remember these issues but reports that he cannot remain asleep and finds himself moving repeatedly in his bed. He has a family history of Alzheimer's disease.
