The patient's dental record indicates the decay surrounding a partially present existing restoration. the dentist has determined that the original filling is partially missing due to poor retention and undercuts in the initial preparation. The patient's record also notes that the patient fears needles and administration of local anesthetic. What handpieces should the dental assistant prepare for the procedure? and why? Which rotary instruments should be used? Why?
