4. What are the regulatory or legal trends/pressures that the organization may face or should consider from a sustainability perspective?
5. What are the organization's stakeholders' expectations around sustainability?
6. A Sustainability focused PESTLE and/or SWOT analysis may be helpful for you to undertake

3. Benchmarking, Analysis & Discussion (40-60%)

Utilizing the information that you've gathered in the section above:

1. Describe where you think the organization is in terms of sustainability relative to its industry/peers and explain why. Is it a laggard, somewhere in the middle, or a leader?
2. Reflecting on 2b, 2d, 2e above and thinking about sustainability standards, frameworks, best practices, legal/regulatory requirements, and stakeholders' expectations, conduct a gap analysis and discuss where the organization currently is vs. where it needs to be currently and/or in the future. Explain what your thoughts are regarding these gaps (if any).
3. Describe what you perceive to be the current level of sustainability of the organization and explain why.
4. Be critical, do not just take organizations' reports and publications simply at face value. Seek out alternative perspectives from other sources. Examine what customers, NGOs, media, governments etc. are potentially saying about the organization and its activities. Many organizations are guilty of 'greenwashing', even by omission. Many organizations talk about all the great work they are doing, but you should ask yourself if it addresses the material sustainable issues affecting the company, or are these initiatives impactful or relevant?
