Abstracts: For the purpose of this class, an abstract is a written summary and critique of an article Published in a scholarly journal. It differs from the brief summary included with most journals articles (often labeled "Abstract") in that it includes the studentâs critique of the article and it addresses the items listed below. Abstracts assigned in this course must address the following Crucial items. ⢠Min. 500 words ⢠Type of research undertaken by the author(s) ⢠Major dependent and independent variables ⢠Hypothesis or hypotheses ⢠Summary of the theoretical assumptions (underlying theory) of the study ⢠Summary of the findings and determination of support for the predicted outcome ⢠Summary of the conclusions reached by the author(s) with the studentâs own critique of the reliability and validity of the measurement techniques used in the study ⢠Complete citation to the original article, in APA style, and placed at the end of your paper under the heading âReferenceâ "24 hour delivery" a must
