What are the most important things the Black Founders did in their efforts to achieve freedom and equality for African Americans in the United States? Why were those things to important?

Carefully review the module page titled Black Founders. Consider the historical context you have learned so far about the formation of the United States. Also consider the challenges faced by the Black Founders in the new United States.

The best responses will go beyond simply summarizing what a few Black Founders did during their lives. Instead, the strongest responses will consider the Black Founders presented as a group. What things did they do as a group that was so important? Yes, discuss at least three things they did as a group. Yes, talk about individuals and the specifics of their lives within each thing they did.

  • Consider the various challenges faced by African Americans in the United States:
