This project will be an annotated outline of 13 major periods of Jesus' life and of the early church. Your sources for the material in the outline should be first and foremost the four Gospels and the Book of Acts.
If you have a good Harmony of the Gospels (many types of which can be found online), this will be helpful, but you do not have to use one. For each section of the outline, include the two subsections as appropriate: (i.e., life of Jesus and main events or early church and main events)
Summarize the main events (travels, places, activities, and people) involved.
Summarize the main ideas (teachings/beliefs) which Jesus taught (intertestamental concept) about the Kingdom of God (in the Gospel story).
Summarize the main ideas (teachings/beliefs) that the early church taught and that guided them. (Hint: In Acts, look for the speeches where the ideas are most clearly expressed.)
In the outline of between 1,250-1,500 words, be sure to also address the impact of the synagogue, the Kingdom of God, and the dominant cultures (Hellenism, Judaism) in the biblical records.
