Case Study: In this course, students will learn about public policy and law as it relates to early childhood education. Students will leverage leadership skills, advocacy skills, and professional knowledge to promote educational transformation, social justice, and positive change in early childhood education.

Course Design

This course is designed to enhance future leader's knowledge of laws related to early childhood education and care while providing opportunities to design their ethical and conceptual framework. Students are guided as they interpret and apply their knowledge of the law and professional standard in course journals, scenarios, discussions, weekly assignments, interactives, and the summative assessment.

Course Learning Outcomes

  2. Apply knowledge of public policies and laws to develop arguments supporting or opposing course case studies.

  5. Design a final project of resources that supports ethical and legal solutions to common ill-structured dilemmas in the educational environment.
